Según ha informado a Efe Antonio Garròs, sobrino de esta mujer que aún se vale por si sola, aunque con los achaques normales de una edad tan avanzada, habían solicitado en varias ocasiones a la Generalitat -las últimas ocasiones en el marco de la Ley de Dependencia- el recibir una ayuda de dos horas semanales para que asistiera a la anciana, Dolors Soler, que vive con él y su esposa.
Sin embargo, tras la visita del técnico encargado de evaluar las solicitudes, que preguntó a la anciana sobre sus capacidades de movilidad e higiene, la familia recibió una "sorprendente" contestación en donde se indicaba que la concesión de ayuda se demoraba a 2013, cuando la mujer haya cumplido ya los 105 años.
"No pedíamos dinero, sólo esas dos horas", ha explicado el sobrino, quien tras conocer la resolución hizo una reclamación ante la administración autonómica, desde donde se le contestó que el resultado de la baremación lo había elaborado "un ordenador" y que posiblemente se había producido un error previo por parte de la persona que hizo el estudio preliminar del caso.
Garrós, un jubilado de 64 años debido a problemas cardiacos, advierte que si han de reiniciarse los trámites para volver a solicitar las ayudas, éstas tardarán mucho tiempo, "y mi tía tiene 101 años", por lo que han optado por hacer una denuncia pública "que al menos nos sirve como derecho al pataleo".
El sobrino de la anciana ha recordado que cuando Dolors cumplió 100 años recibió la visita del delegado de Bienestar Social para entregarle la medalla que reconoce a las personas centenarias. "Le dijo a mi tía que si necesitaba algo lo pidiera, y ella se lo creyó y por eso volvimos a reclamar la ayuda", recuerda ahora Garrós.
